Custodian's Cottage
Kirby Hall
Sleeps 4 + cot
A long private drive through fields, then on through an avenue of horse chestnut trees planted
to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of George V, beneath two fine entrance arches and there overlooking lawns and the classic ruins of Kirby Hall is Custodian’s Cottage. A fine approach to a special place. The cottage is not old but has been beautifully refurbished since the days when it housed the custodian. Now, when the public have left the Hall and its grounds, the peacocks remain, but otherwise the peace is total and the grounds are there for you to enjoy at leisure.
This two storey cottage has an entrance hall, sitting room, separate dining room and kitchen and bathroom with shower over bath on the ground floor. On the second floor are two double bedrooms and a cloakroom.
Custodian’s cottage has its own specious garden with garden furniture for relaxing and dining provided.
Not only does the cottage have its own large garden, but the grounds of Kirby Hall, yours to enjoy in peace are something really special. Bask in the evening sun in the ‘cutwork’ partly restored gardens or snuggle up in the cottage in winter.
