The English Heritage Archaeology Teams based at Fort Cumberland undertake a wide variety of projects across England. Information about a selection of our recent and current projects is available.

    In 1981 the Central Excavation Unit, one of the predecessors of the CfA Archaeologist Team, undertook the first of series of excavations in the Catterick area.
