House

Suggested time needed: 1 hour
Imagine life as royalty and explore the rooms using our children’s ‘Step Inside’ activity sheet. This highlights the fascinating history of this country home and conjures up an impression of life in the 19 th century.

Gardens

Suggested time needed: 30 minutes – 1 hour
Explore the grounds, find the Elysian Garden cascade and the ‘Tea House Bridge’, climb up to the Temple of Concord and admire the view. Bring a bat and ball and enjoy the open space or play ‘hide and seek’ within the grounds. Discover what’s growing in the organic Kitchen Garden and see where the gardener would have lived and slept. Purchase fruit and vegetables from the shop to take home to cook for your supper!

Eating

Relax in the tearooms where children can choose a tasty treat from the menu. If the weather is fine bring a picnic and find a spot to eat your lunch whilst enjoying the open space and beautiful grounds.
