Freedom of Information Charges
In general, English Heritage does not intend to charge for the information included in its Publication Scheme that is directly accessible through this website.
If you request information not available under the Scheme, our aim is to make as much as possible available to you free of charge. However, where it takes a considerable amount of time to gather or prepare the information you want we will charge for that work. If your request does attract any charges we will ask whether you wish to continue with the request before we undertake the work. Charges may be waived where the cost of collecting and accounting for the fee would exceed the amount of the fee. Charges will be in accordance with the NMR Enquiry Service price list.
No charges will be made where we refuse a request for information. Nor will there be a charge to appeal against our refusal to supply the information requested or where you appeal against the charges we would make.
Where the information is already available in a priced publication we will give you details of the publication and where to get it. A full catalogue of our Publications is available online at www.english-heritage.org.uk/bookshop
Free of charge advisory and information leaflets are available through the Customer Services Department.
Charges apply for some information obtained through the National Monuments Record - see above.
