The brand new CGI film experience will bring Carisbrooke Castle’s history to life.  Phill Jupitus, the voice of Jupiter the cartoon donkey, will take you back over 1000 years to discover the castle’s role through tragedy, intrigue, war and peace.

Jupiter will introduce you to Isabella De Fortibus, one of the richest heiresses and landlords in the Kingdom. The castle was a symbol of power as it was a home fit for such a great Lady.

Jupiter turns the wheel of time back to the 1590s to discover the crucial part Carisbrooke Castle played in the defence of the realm. You will meet George Carey whose aim it was to defend England from her foreign foes.

1647 saw the end of the Civil War, and it was during this time that Carisbrooke Castle played host to its most famous visitor, Charles I.  Colonel Robert Hammond, Captain of the Isle of Wight was the King’s jailer at the time and has some stories to tell!
