The medieval landscape, hidden for many years in a dark plantation of conifers, was revealed when the area around Warren House in Prior’s Park Wood, on the northern edge of the Blackdown Hills AONB, was clear felled as part of the Neroche Project. Local volunteers helped to record the newly discovered pillow mounds (artificial rabbit warrens) as part of a training event organised by English Heritage and the Neroche Community History Project. www.nerochescheme.org
